The Opportunity:

As a Facilities Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining the school's environment, ensuring it is safe, clean, and well-kept for students, staff, and visitors. This is a varied and essential role that supports the smooth running of the school and contributes to the well-being of the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the school building and grounds to a high standard, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
  • Assist with waste management, deliveries, and general maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure health and safety protocols are consistently followed across the school site.
  • Liaise with external contractors and support the Facilities team in delivering a professional service.
  • Respond to the needs of a busy school site, including after-school events and staff absences.
  • Support the school during out-of-hours events and ensure the premises are secure.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks and report any issues promptly.
  • Work flexibly and be available to support the school when needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in facilities management or a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high standard of work.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to health and safety and a willingness to complete relevant training.

Preferred

  • Experience with school operations and understanding of the unique needs of an educational environment.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance and general repair skills.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Experience working within a Catholic or Christian educational setting.
