The Opportunity:
A French Teacher Assistant is needed to support students in developing their language skills and confidence. This role involves working with small groups, primarily at GCSE and A Level, to enhance their understanding and fluency in French. Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in improving their French language skills through interactive and engaging lessons.
- Work flexibly with students’ timetables to provide targeted assistance.
- Assist in preparing students for GCSE and A Level French examinations.
- Encourage a positive and motivating learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers to enhance the French curriculum.
- Promote French culture and language through classroom activities and events.
- Provide individualised support to students to boost confidence and achievement.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and feedback.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Fluency in French, both spoken and written.
- Passion for language learning and teaching.
- Ability to work flexibly within school hours.
- Commitment to supporting students aged 11-18.
- Legal right to work in the UK at the time of application.
Preferred
- Experience working in a school environment.
- Knowledge of GCSE and A Level French exam specifications.
- Experience in teaching or assisting with language instruction.
