The Opportunity:

A French Teacher Assistant is needed to support students in developing their language skills and confidence. This role involves working with small groups, primarily at GCSE and A Level, to enhance their understanding and fluency in French. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in improving their French language skills through interactive and engaging lessons.
  • Work flexibly with students’ timetables to provide targeted assistance.
  • Assist in preparing students for GCSE and A Level French examinations.
  • Encourage a positive and motivating learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers to enhance the French curriculum.
  • Promote French culture and language through classroom activities and events.
  • Provide individualised support to students to boost confidence and achievement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and feedback.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Fluency in French, both spoken and written.
  • Passion for language learning and teaching.
  • Ability to work flexibly within school hours.
  • Commitment to supporting students aged 11-18.
  • Legal right to work in the UK at the time of application.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school environment.
  • Knowledge of GCSE and A Level French exam specifications.
  • Experience in teaching or assisting with language instruction.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
