The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and committed French Teacher to join our team in November 2026 on a part-time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a well-resourced and innovative MFL curriculum that has significantly increased student engagement and achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality French lessons using a carefully sequenced, fully resourced curriculum.
  • Incorporate cultural topics to inspire a love of languages and global awareness.
  • Support students through the use of online learning platforms and native speaker language assistants.
  • Participate in regular CPD sessions led by subject experts and share best practice across the trust.
  • Work collaboratively with a dedicated team of MFL directors and lead teachers to ensure consistent standards and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching French at secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the French curriculum and teaching methodologies.
  • Commitment to student engagement and achievement.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with online learning platforms and digital resources.
  • Background in developing or delivering CPD sessions.
  • Familiarity with the MFL Pedagogy Review and its implementation in the classroom.
  • ECTs are welcome to apply.
