The Opportunity:
As a GCSE English Tutor, you will play a vital role in helping students succeed in their English re-sit exams. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, supporting them both academically and personally in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective English tuition to small groups of students.
- Support students from KS4 to KS5 with targeted GCSE English preparation.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs and goals.
- Create a positive and encouraging learning environment that fosters confidence and motivation.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and coaches to help students balance academic and sporting commitments.
- Work flexibly across multiple sites, including Gallagher Stadium and other locations.
- Utilize available resources to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
- Monitor and support student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in GCSE English education.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different learning needs.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and personal development.
- Experience in delivering small group tuition.
Preferred
- Experience working with students in a sports or extracurricular environment.
- Familiarity with re-sit exam preparation strategies.
- Experience with pastoral care or student support.
