The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in RE and History that inspire and challenge students.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through innovative teaching and learning strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of a dynamic and engaging curriculum.
  • Participate in and lead co-curricular activities that enhance student experience and learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain and improve the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that supports student wellbeing and personal growth.
  • Stay up to date with current educational research and best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience of teaching RE and/or History
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching and learning
  • Ability to maintain a positive growth mindset and work effectively in a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
  • Energetic and motivated with a can-do attitude

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching at GCSE and Post-16 levels
  • Experience with digital curriculum delivery
  • Leadership experience or willingness to take on leadership roles
  • Experience with co-curricular activities or extracurricular engagement
