The Opportunity:
As a GCSE Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality Maths education to learners aged 16–18 and adult students. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on learners’ futures by helping them achieve the qualifications they need for further study, employment, or apprenticeships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective GCSE Maths lessons to both 16–18 learners and adult students.
- Support learners in overcoming barriers to learning, building confidence, and achieving their goals.
- Provide Functional Skills Maths instruction to adult learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and share best practices.
- Participate in curriculum development and contribute to departmental planning and resource creation.
- Attend and engage in continuous professional development (CPD) sessions tailored to Maths delivery.
- Offer personalised feedback and guidance to learners to help them grow in confidence and resilience.
- Deliver evening classes as part of the school’s commitment to flexible learning opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Degree in Mathematics or equivalent qualification.
- TQUK Level 5 Certificate in Education and Training (RQF).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an education setting.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching GCSE Maths or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience with Functional Skills Maths delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver innovative teaching strategies.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practice.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of £28,991 to £43,666 per annum.
