The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate General Subjects Teacher to deliver high-quality education across multiple curriculum areas for pupils with SEMH needs. This is a key role in supporting the academic and personal development of students in a nurturing and specialist environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and accessible lessons across a range of subjects at Key Stages 2 and 3.
- Plan and implement learning in line with whole-school curriculum expectations and SEMH-informed practices.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils using trauma-informed approaches.
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external partners to support pupil outcomes.
- Fulfil professional duties in accordance with Teachers’ Standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Subject specialism in either Literacy or Science.
- Experience teaching pupils with SEMH needs.
- Strong classroom practice with the ability to teach across multiple subjects.
- Secure skills in English, Mathematics, and ICT.
Preferred
- Experience in SEMH-informed teaching practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with vocational learning opportunities.
