Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding leadership and strategic direction for the school’s Catholic mission and ethos.
- Ensure the highest standards of education, safeguarding, and pastoral care for pupils with SEMH needs.
- Deliver a clear, ambitious vision that drives continuous improvement and maintains excellence.
- Lead whole-school development through self-evaluation, evidence-based decision-making, and strategic planning.
- Build strong relationships with families, staff, governors, the Diocese, and external professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive school culture that supports staff and pupils alike.
- Manage complex challenges and drive positive change aligned with the school’s mission and values.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A practising Roman Catholic with a reference from a Catholic Priest.
- Substantial leadership experience in specialist or mainstream education.
- Strong understanding of the needs of pupils with SEMH.
- Demonstrated ability to lead with integrity, compassion, and ambition.
- Strategic capability to drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a school rated Outstanding or equivalent.
- Experience with Catholic education or values-based leadership.
- Background in school improvement or transformation projects.
- Experience in managing multi-site operations.
