The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to join the Social Sciences Faculty and deliver AQA GCSE and A level courses. This role offers the opportunity to work with students across the age range and make a meaningful impact on their education and future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons across the age range, including GCSE and A level.
  • Develop engaging and innovative teaching materials that align with the curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving academic success and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
  • Participate in staff meetings, planning, and professional development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly.
  • Encourage student participation in Geography-related extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or willingness to pursue it through the school’s training programme.
  • Relevant subject knowledge in Geography.
  • Experience in teaching Geography at GCSE and A level.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and academic success.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school with a broad and stimulating academic programme.
  • Familiarity with AQA GCSE and A level Geography specifications.
  • Ability to integrate technology into Geography teaching.
  • Experience in leading extracurricular Geography activities or fieldwork.
