The Opportunity:

A Graduate Resident Assistant - Sport will provide essential pastoral and co-curricular support to boarders, while gaining valuable experience in a vibrant, co-educational setting. This role offers a unique platform for career progression and the chance to make a meaningful impact on young people's lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support boarders in all aspects of their school life, including academic, pastoral, and extra-curricular activities.
  • Coach in sports such as Netball, Hockey, Cricket, and Rugby, depending on gender, and umpire where required.
  • Work closely with the PE/Games department and Boarding House team to deliver a high-quality student experience.
  • Assist in the delivery of academic and pastoral programmes, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for students.
  • Participate in the Summer School programme, providing additional support during this period.
  • Maintain a positive and engaging relationship with students, promoting a culture of humility, engagement, and kindness.
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Contribute to the school’s mission of developing confident, well-rounded individuals ready to make a positive impact on the world.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A genuine passion for working with young people.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

  • Tact and discretion in all interactions.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of humility, engagement, and kindness.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school setting or in a coaching role.
  • Ability to coach Netball, Hockey, Cricket, or Rugby, depending on gender.
  • Previous experience in pastoral care or student support roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a busy and changing environment.
