Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Art, Design Technology, and Photography specialists to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement an innovative and engaging curriculum that promotes creativity and practical skills.
  • Ensure a safe, well-organised, and stimulating learning environment for students.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to contribute to whole-school initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion high standards and inclusive practices that support student achievement and well-being.
  • Manage departmental resources and support staff professional development.
  • Work with colleagues to enhance student outcomes and promote a positive school culture.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching and leadership within Art and Design Technology.
  • A strong track record of delivering excellent student outcomes.
  • Excellent classroom management and curriculum development skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
  • Ability to motivate and support colleagues effectively.

Preferred

  • Specialism in Food Technology.
  • Experience in leading a department or faculty.
  • Knowledge of innovative teaching practices and technologies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
