Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Art, Design Technology, and Photography specialists to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement an innovative and engaging curriculum that promotes creativity and practical skills.
- Ensure a safe, well-organised, and stimulating learning environment for students.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to contribute to whole-school initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
- Champion high standards and inclusive practices that support student achievement and well-being.
- Manage departmental resources and support staff professional development.
- Work with colleagues to enhance student outcomes and promote a positive school culture.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in teaching and leadership within Art and Design Technology.
- A strong track record of delivering excellent student outcomes.
- Excellent classroom management and curriculum development skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
- Ability to motivate and support colleagues effectively.
Preferred
- Specialism in Food Technology.
- Experience in leading a department or faculty.
- Knowledge of innovative teaching practices and technologies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
