Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Chemistry department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the wider curriculum and provide opportunities for student enrichment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in teaching and learning.
  • Work closely with students to inspire a passion for science and encourage personal growth.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the school’s science department and its impact on student outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Chemistry.
  • Proven leadership experience in a school or college setting.
  • Strong commitment to student achievement and engagement.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality, evidence-based teaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development or leadership roles within Science departments.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching technologies and methodologies.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring teaching staff.
  • A track record of improving student outcomes and engagement in Science subjects.
