As Head of Creative Arts, you will lead a vibrant department in a school undergoing exciting developments, including new STEAM facilities. This is a unique chance to shape the future of creative learning and inspire students across Fine Art, Graphics, and Textiles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a committed team of specialist teachers across Fine Art, Graphics and Textiles
  • Champion high-quality teaching and learning that inspires students of all ages and abilities
  • Develop curriculum innovation and a rich co-curricular offer
  • Drive an ambitious, inclusive vision for the Creative Arts department
  • Collaborate with senior and middle leaders to support whole-school improvement
  • Model and nurture a culture of creativity, excellence, and aspiration
  • Ensure high standards of assessment and student progress
  • Support staff development and professional growth

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A clear, compelling vision for outstanding Creative Arts education
  • Proven experience in leading a department and developing teaching within a team
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Commitment to professional growth and continuous development
  • Passion for helping young people become confident, creative, and well-rounded individuals

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum innovation and assessment
  • Background in developing co-curricular programs
  • Experience in a school with a strong commitment to student wellbeing
  • Familiarity with STEAM education and interdisciplinary learning
