As Head of Creative Arts, you will lead a vibrant department in a school undergoing exciting developments, including new STEAM facilities. This is a unique chance to shape the future of creative learning and inspire students across Fine Art, Graphics, and Textiles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a committed team of specialist teachers across Fine Art, Graphics and Textiles
- Champion high-quality teaching and learning that inspires students of all ages and abilities
- Develop curriculum innovation and a rich co-curricular offer
- Drive an ambitious, inclusive vision for the Creative Arts department
- Collaborate with senior and middle leaders to support whole-school improvement
- Model and nurture a culture of creativity, excellence, and aspiration
- Ensure high standards of assessment and student progress
- Support staff development and professional growth
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A clear, compelling vision for outstanding Creative Arts education
- Proven experience in leading a department and developing teaching within a team
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Commitment to professional growth and continuous development
- Passion for helping young people become confident, creative, and well-rounded individuals
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum innovation and assessment
- Background in developing co-curricular programs
- Experience in a school with a strong commitment to student wellbeing
- Familiarity with STEAM education and interdisciplinary learning
