Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons to students across all Key Stages, ensuring engaging and challenging content.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for mathematics.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across the Acer Trust to share best practice and enhance teaching methods.
- Support the continuous improvement of the Mathematics Department through active participation in professional development and training.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential.
- Work closely with students to build strong relationships and promote a culture of mutual respect and high expectations.
- Stay up to date with current pedagogical research and incorporate innovative teaching strategies into lessons.
- Contribute to the wider school community by participating in extracurricular activities and school events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Full teaching qualification (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in teaching Mathematics at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Mathematics at A level or equivalent.
- Experience with teaching in a multi-academy trust or similar collaborative environment.
- Experience with pedagogical research and innovative teaching methods.
- Experience with using digital tools and resources in the classroom.
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental development initiatives.
