Key Responsibilities:
- Lead curriculum development and drive high standards in teaching and learning.
- Teach across Design Technology and Engineering disciplines to GCSE, BTEC and A-Level.
- Ensure safe and effective workshop practice in line with health and safety requirements.
- Lead and develop staff within the department and the wider Foundation.
- Inspire and challenge pupils of all abilities, supporting progression into STEM pathways.
- Develop enrichment opportunities and external partnerships.
- Manage departmental resources, facilities and budgets.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong subject knowledge and technical expertise in Design Technology and Engineering.
- Experience in teaching and leading at KS3 to KS5 level.
- Demonstrated leadership and team development skills.
- Commitment to innovation and inclusive education.
- Ability to manage resources, facilities, and budgets effectively.
Preferred
- Experience with BTEC Engineering qualifications.
- Background in curriculum development and delivery.
- Experience in fostering external partnerships and enrichment opportunities.
- Familiarity with STEM pathways and progression opportunities.
