Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the English department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.

- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and guidance.
- Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians to support student development.
- Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to the overall development of the school’s academic and pastoral strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Proven experience in teaching English at secondary level.
- Experience working with students who have barriers to learning.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
- Experience with small class teaching environments.
- Familiarity with differentiated instruction techniques.
- Experience in a specialist or independent school setting.
