Head of Lower Primary Section seeking experienced leader for Year 1/2.

As the Head of Lower Primary Section, you will lead and inspire a team of educators, shaping the academic and pastoral experience for Year 1 and 2 students. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Lower Primary Section, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement the curriculum in line with the National Curriculum and school policies.
  • Support and mentor teachers, fostering a collaborative and professional environment.
  • Oversee pastoral care and student well-being, ensuring a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Coordinate with other sections and departments to ensure a seamless educational experience.
  • Promote a vibrant extra-curricular program that enhances student engagement and development.
  • Monitor and evaluate academic progress, providing feedback and guidance to staff and students.
  • Represent the school at meetings, events, and parent consultations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a primary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum.
  • Valid teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed./M.Ed./Lehramt or PGCE).
  • Fluency in English.
  • Experience in managing and developing a teaching team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a section or department.
  • Familiarity with international education systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in extra-curricular program development.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and diverse environment.
