Summary:
Head of Marketing and Admissions needed at a leading Dyslexia Friendly Independent Boarding and Day school.
About the School:
A co-educational independent boarding and day school for children aged 8 to 18, located in Gloucestershire, with a strong focus on dyslexia specialist teaching and a wide-ranging academic and extra-curricular curriculum.
The Opportunity:
As the Head of Marketing and Admissions, you will be the first point of contact for prospective families and play a key role in the admissions process, ensuring a seamless transition into school life. You will also be responsible for developing and delivering marketing strategies that enhance the school’s reputation and reach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the entire admissions process, ensuring a high level of service and a smooth transition for families.
- Develop and implement marketing and public relations strategies to promote the school and raise its profile.
- Coordinate and manage a constant flow of inquiries, applications, meetings, and visits throughout the year.
- Build and maintain relationships with feeder schools, local communities, and professional referrers.
- Ensure consistent and professional communication across all marketing channels.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to align marketing efforts with the school’s strategic goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and strategies.
- Plan and deliver multiple projects simultaneously with strong organisational and time management skills.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in marketing and admissions management within an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A proactive and confident approach to customer service and stakeholder engagement.
Preferred
- Experience in a dyslexia-friendly or specialist educational environment.
- Knowledge of digital marketing and online communication platforms.
- Experience with public relations and media engagement.
- Familiarity with the independent school sector and its unique challenges and opportunities.
