The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate Speech and Language Therapist to join our clinical team and deliver specialist assessment and intervention to students with diverse needs. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes while working in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver bespoke speech and language therapy assessment and intervention to students with developmental trauma, neurodivergent needs, or SEMH challenges.
  • Work within established clinical frameworks and standards to ensure quality and consistency in practice.
  • Manage a caseload with the support of a designated clinical supervisor and site lead.
  • Collaborate with education teams and contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
  • Develop and implement support plans based on individual needs profiles.
  • Communicate effectively with families, carers, and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Stay up to date with legislation and professional standards in speech and language therapy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • HCPC registered and fully registered member of the RCSLT.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar setting.
  • Experience working with individuals with complex communication profiles.
  • Knowledge of neurodiversity and trauma-informed practice.
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary working across a range of settings.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Competence in core areas of SaLT practice and understanding of RCSLT Communication Standards.
  • Familiarity with SaLT assessment tools and intervention strategies.
  • Full valid UK driving licence and access to a car.

Preferred

  • Understanding of sensory and motor differences that impact communication.
  • Awareness of the relationship between arousal levels and communication.
