The Opportunity:

As the Head of Performing Arts and Music Teacher, you will lead a vibrant arts department and inspire students through high-quality teaching and performance. This role is ideal for an experienced educator passionate about music and the performing arts, who wants to shape student learning and drive departmental excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the Performing Arts and Music department to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement the embedded arts curriculum in collaboration with The Juilliard School.
  • Deliver engaging, innovative lessons that support individual learning needs and promote student achievement.
  • Oversee peripatetic music, dance, and drama teacher provision and ensure seamless department operations.
  • Lead and mentor subject teachers to develop their practice and achieve departmental goals.
  • Support the life of the school through leadership in extra-curricular activities, including after-school programs and school productions.
  • Use modern technology and the Nord Anglia Education Global Campus to enhance learning opportunities.
  • Monitor student progress and report to stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching Performing Arts and Music at a senior level.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience in curriculum development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and academic excellence.

Preferred

  • Experience with the Juilliard School or other prestigious arts institutions.
  • Familiarity with Nord Anglia Education systems and resources.
  • Experience in leading extra-curricular and performance-based learning initiatives.
