Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Pre-Prep department, ensuring the highest standards of education and welfare.
  • Develop and implement a dynamic curriculum that supports academic and personal growth.
  • Supervise and mentor staff to ensure consistent quality and professional development.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to align departmental goals with the school’s strategic vision.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and administrative tasks of the department.
  • Ensure the safety, health, and overall welfare of all pupils.
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to support student development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within an educational setting.
  • Strong teaching background with a deep understanding of curriculum development.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in managing a department and leading a team of educators.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare, with willingness to undergo DBS checks.
  • A relevant teaching qualification or equivalent.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Pre-Prep or early years setting.
  • Knowledge of innovative teaching methodologies and child development.
  • Experience with boarding or day school environments.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Passion for fostering a well-rounded education in young learners.
