Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a highly engaging, needs-led curriculum that meets the unique needs of pupils.
- Ensure robust assessment and tracking of academic and personal development.
- Lead and embed high-quality teaching practices that drive effective learning.
- Implement strategies to improve behaviour, attendance, and student engagement.
- Integrate therapeutic approaches into the educational experience.
- Promote pupils’ spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and local stakeholders.
- Establish systems to monitor and improve teaching standards.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for staff and pupils.
- Ensure full compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and statutory requirements.
- Recruit, develop, and motivate a high-performing staff team.
- Drive the school’s commercial success through effective management and planning.
- Communicate progress clearly to stakeholders, including Ofsted and local authorities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience in strategic planning, operational management, and school improvement
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and high-quality provision
- Ability to inspire and develop staff
- Confidence in managing budgets, resources, and commercial priorities
Preferred
- Experience in SEND or specialist education
- Leadership in a new or developing school setting
- Experience with therapeutic approaches in education
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
