The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to provide essential care and support to students in the Health Centre. This role includes the potential for 24-hour care for boarding pupils and requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, overnights, and weekends. The position is ideal for someone who values a supportive and dynamic working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and professional healthcare support to students during term time.
- Deliver 24-hour care when required, particularly for unwell or injured boarding pupils.
- Work on a duty rota basis, including evenings, overnights, and weekends.
- Ensure the Health Centre is maintained to a high standard at all times.
- Collaborate with other staff members to support the overall wellbeing of students.
- Monitor and report on the health and wellbeing of students as required.
- Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for students and staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant experience in healthcare or a similar support role.
- A commitment to working flexible hours, including evenings, overnights, and weekends.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic first aid and healthcare knowledge.
Preferred
- Experience working in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of child development and wellbeing.
- Experience with 24-hour care provision.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing demands.
