The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join a dynamic and successful team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across all key stages.
  • Develop and implement a mastery-based curriculum that promotes critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Support students in achieving outstanding results at GCSE and A level.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience and academic outcomes.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Engage in extra-curricular activities and school events that promote the subject and student involvement.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in History or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching History at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering a mastery-based curriculum.
  • Familiarity with assessment and examination requirements at GCSE and A level.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives and curriculum development.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
