The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Humanities lessons aligned with the National Curriculum in England and the Bahraini Ministry of Education.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and intellectual curiosity.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that integrate technology and interactive learning tools.
- Support the school's Quran memorisation programme, ensuring a balanced approach to academic and spiritual development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience through shared planning and professional development.
- Engage students in extracurricular activities that promote leadership, teamwork, and personal growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and guardians.
- Uphold the school's commitment to child protection and safeguarding policies at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in English with Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
- Proven experience teaching the UK National Curriculum
- Experience working with non-native English-speaking students
- Demonstrated commitment to child welfare and professionalism
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Experience with teaching Humanities at the secondary level
- Familiarity with Islamic education and values
- Involvement in extracurricular activities
- Ability to work effectively within a multicultural and collaborative team
