The Opportunity:
As an IB Physics Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of scientists. You will deliver the updated IB Physics curriculum, help students develop critical thinking and experimental skills, and guide them through the IB Diploma Programme with passion and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the updated IB Physics curriculum with a focus on conceptual understanding and real-world application.
- Guide students through the Scientific Investigation (Internal Assessment), supporting them in experimental design and data analysis.
- Foster inquiry-based learning and connect physics concepts to global contexts and the Theory of Knowledge (TOK).
- Support students in their Extended Essays and prepare them for success in IB Physics SL and HL external examinations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
- Mentor students individually and help them achieve academic and personal growth.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school’s mission and values.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree in Physics or a related STEM field, plus a recognized teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching IB Diploma Programme (DP) Physics.
- Strong ability to inspire and engage students from diverse backgrounds.
- EU working papers or a valid permit to work in Italy.
Preferred
- Experience with inquiry-based learning and TOK integration.
- Familiarity with bilingual education and international curricula.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience with laboratory equipment and scientific investigation techniques.
