The Opportunity:
As an IGCSE Humanities Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping students' understanding of the world. You will deliver high-quality instruction aligned with the Cambridge/British Curriculum, while contributing to a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective IGCSE Humanities lessons aligned with the Cambridge/British Curriculum.
- Maintain accurate records of student assessments and intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum continuity across phases.
- Support students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
- Uphold the school's Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy at all times.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practice.
- Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and the wider school community.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of teaching resources and planning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Education.
- Attested/Apostilled qualifications from the country where the degree was obtained.
- Minimum of two years’ experience teaching IGCSE Humanities.
- Evidence of successful teaching placements or previous teaching experience.
- Strong understanding of classroom management and inclusive education practices.
- Commitment to equal opportunities and child protection policies.
Preferred
- Experience working with students who have learning or behavioral challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and as part of a collaborative department.
- Involvement in continuing professional development (CPD) activities.
