The Opportunity:
We are seeking an IT Technician Apprentice to provide essential IT support across the school and occasionally to other schools within the Trust. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable technical skills while contributing to a school that prioritizes excellence and staff development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first, second, and third line IT support to users across the school.
- Maintain and troubleshoot PC hardware and software.
- Assist with the installation and configuration of Microsoft Office applications.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth IT operations.
- Participate in training and qualification programs to enhance technical expertise.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Support the school’s mission by maintaining a positive and helpful attitude.
- Occasionally travel to other schools and the central office for IT-related tasks.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Practical knowledge of PC hardware and software.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work with children of all ages.
- Commitment to completing a Level 3/4 apprenticeship.
Preferred
- Previous experience in IT support or related fields.
- Willingness to pursue further technical qualifications.
- Experience with network systems or IT infrastructure.
