The Opportunity:

We are seeking an IT Technician Apprentice to provide essential IT support across the school and occasionally to other schools within the Trust. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable technical skills while contributing to a school that prioritizes excellence and staff development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first, second, and third line IT support to users across the school.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot PC hardware and software.
  • Assist with the installation and configuration of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth IT operations.
  • Participate in training and qualification programs to enhance technical expertise.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the school’s mission by maintaining a positive and helpful attitude.
  • Occasionally travel to other schools and the central office for IT-related tasks.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Practical knowledge of PC hardware and software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work with children of all ages.
  • Commitment to completing a Level 3/4 apprenticeship.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in IT support or related fields.
  • Willingness to pursue further technical qualifications.
  • Experience with network systems or IT infrastructure.
