Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
  • Support and monitor student progress, providing targeted feedback and guidance.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental strategies and initiatives.
  • Take responsibility for classroom management and the overall well-being of students.
  • Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and school-wide events.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes high standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2 within the independent sector.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and take on leadership responsibilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development or leading a department.
  • Familiarity with specialist subjects such as Science, Drama, or Modern Foreign Languages.
  • Experience with setting and assessing in core subjects such as Mathematics and Spelling.
  • Knowledge of innovative teaching methods and technologies.
