The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 3 English or Humanities Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student outcomes and contribute to a unique curriculum model that supports a smooth transition from primary to secondary education. The position is fixed term for one academic year, with potential for progression depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons to Key Stage 3 students, with potential for involvement in Key Stage 4 or post-16 teaching
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of teachers to plan and deliver a shared curriculum
- Support students through academic mentoring and pastoral care
- Participate in ongoing professional development and coaching sessions
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture
- Maintain strong student engagement and motivation
- Work closely with the Head of College to ensure consistent standards and support
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them reach their full potential
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge
- Experience teaching Key Stage 3 students
- Strong commitment to student outcomes and pastoral care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Preferred
- Experience with cross-curricular teaching or curriculum development
- Background in academic mentoring or pastoral support
- Experience with CPD and professional development
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies
