The Opportunity:

As a KS1/KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ learning and development across Key Stages 1 and 2. This is a chance to make a real difference in the lives of young children while working as part of a dedicated and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils’ learning in a positive and stimulating environment.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to enhance classroom engagement and student outcomes.
  • Foster confidence, independence, and a love of learning in students.
  • Provide flexible support across different year groups and classes as needed.
  • Encourage and maintain high standards of behavior and conduct in the classroom.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons and activities.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in teaching or a related field.
  • Experience working with children in a school setting, ideally at KS1/KS2.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their learning.
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a similar role within a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of child development and learning theories.
  • Experience with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Familiarity with current teaching methodologies and curriculum requirements.
