The Opportunity:
As a KS1/KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ learning and development across Key Stages 1 and 2. This is a chance to make a real difference in the lives of young children while working as part of a dedicated and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils’ learning in a positive and stimulating environment.
- Work closely with teaching staff to enhance classroom engagement and student outcomes.
- Foster confidence, independence, and a love of learning in students.
- Provide flexible support across different year groups and classes as needed.
- Encourage and maintain high standards of behavior and conduct in the classroom.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons and activities.
- Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in teaching or a related field.
- Experience working with children in a school setting, ideally at KS1/KS2.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their learning.
- Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience in a similar role within a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of child development and learning theories.
- Experience with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Familiarity with current teaching methodologies and curriculum requirements.
