The Opportunity:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide vital support to students with additional learning needs, helping them reach their full potential. This role is essential in fostering an inclusive learning environment and promoting academic and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with additional learning needs through tailored interventions and individualized learning plans.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and specialists to plan and deliver targeted learning activities.
- Deliver one-to-one and small group support sessions to enhance student progress and independence.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
- Support students in preparing for and accessing exams with appropriate arrangements.
- Promote emotional well-being and positive behavior within the classroom and wider school community.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing feedback to teaching staff and parents.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on student development and achievements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant qualifications in education or related field.
- Experience working with students with additional learning needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering individual education plans (IEPs).
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices and strategies.
- Experience with assistive technology or specialized learning resources.
- Familiarity with exam access arrangements and procedures.
