The Opportunity:

As a Lead Clinician, you will play a pivotal role in managing and leading the in-house clinical team at the school. This is a chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with complex needs, while working within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment that values growth, development, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the in-house clinical team, ensuring high-quality therapeutic interventions and support.
  • Coordinate and monitor the embedding of whole-school clinical approaches and interventions tailored to students with autism, neurodivergence, and SEMH needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team and Regional Clinical Lead to develop and implement service improvements.
  • Support the delivery of targeted interventions aligned with EHCP plans, using the OFG ‘all’, ‘group’, and ‘individual’ clinical frameworks.
  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to the onsite therapy team.
  • Ensure all clinical practices are aligned with safeguarding standards and the school’s ethos.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical strategies and service models that enhance student outcomes.
  • Maintain clear and concise clinical reporting and documentation related to interventions and research activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Practitioner Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist, or Psychotherapist (minimum level 7 qualification).
  • Valid and up-to-date professional registration and membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., BPS).
  • Experience working with students who have autism or complex needs.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of EHCPs.
  • Ability to provide clinical supervision and support to a therapy team.
  • Experience in multi-professional collaboration within a specialist setting.
  • Excellent report writing skills related to clinical and research activities.
  • Ability to work independently and dynamically within a growing clinical service.

Preferred

  • Experience in providing clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in developing and implementing clinical strategies or service models.
  • Experience in research or special interest groups within a clinical setting.
  • Familiarity with innovative therapeutic approaches and interventions.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary between £50,000 - £65,000 DOE based on clinical discipline.
