Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the teaching and learning of Science across the school.
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in Physics and Science.
- Share and develop excellent teaching practice with colleagues.
- Maximize student learning through innovative and effective teaching methods.
- Support and mentor other Science teachers within the department.
- Contribute to the school’s vision of high achievement and success for all students.
- Work collaboratively with senior leaders to improve the quality of Science education.
- Ensure that Science curriculum is engaging, challenging, and aligned with school values.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Science and Physics.
- Proven track record of outstanding classroom practice.
- Strong leadership and teamworking skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Experience in developing and leading departmental initiatives.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a Science department or similar role.
- Knowledge of specialist areas such as mathematics and computing.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement initiatives.
