The Opportunity:

As a Learning Support Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting students within the classroom and through small group interventions. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student learning and development, working closely with students and colleagues in a supportive and values-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in class and through small group work, enhancing their learning experience.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to help students achieve their academic goals.
  • Work collaboratively with other Learning Support Advisors and teachers to provide tailored support for students with additional needs.
  • Assist in the management and operation of the Learning Support Centre when required.
  • Conduct reading interventions as part of the interview process and support SEND students during lessons.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and support activities.
  • Contribute to the school’s mission by promoting a culture of determination, ambition, and integrity.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proactive and reliable attitude with a strong commitment to student support.
  • Experience working with young people in an educational setting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering reading interventions or literacy-based support.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Familiarity with inclusive learning strategies and practices.
  • Previous experience in a Learning Support Advisor or similar role.
