The Opportunity:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide vital support to students in and out of the classroom. You will help improve outcomes for all students, with a focus on those with additional needs. This is a rewarding role that makes a real difference in the lives of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in class and during one-to-one and small group interventions.
- Provide personal care and mobility support for a student with physical needs, including assistance with toileting, dressing, and transfers.
- Implement physiotherapy programmes as required.
- Work closely with teaching staff to ensure students receive consistent and effective support.
- Assist with the development and delivery of individualised learning plans.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all students.
- Attend inset days and training sessions as required.
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers to update them on student progress.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience of working with students with additional needs.
- Commitment to improving outcomes for all students.
- Ability to provide personal care and mobility support.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work term time and some inset days.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a similar support role.
- Experience with physiotherapy programmes.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Experience working in a school setting.
