The Opportunity:

As a Lower School Assistant Principal and PYP Coordinator, you will lead and support the delivery of a high-quality, inquiry-based education aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme. This role offers a unique chance to shape a dynamic learning community and influence the future of education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the implementation of the IB Primary Years Programme across the Lower School.
  • Collaborate with the Lower School Leadership Team to ensure the coherence and development of the curriculum.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, reflection, and continuous growth among staff.
  • Design and facilitate professional learning opportunities for teachers and workshops for parents.
  • Use data to inform decision-making and support student learning outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues across the school community.
  • Promote inclusive, culturally responsive practices and student wellbeing.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and integrate them effectively into teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Deep understanding of the IB Primary Years Programme and experience in an IB PYP international school.
  • Advanced professional training or certification in education leadership or a comparable field.
  • Valid teaching certification and a strong track record as an effective educator.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage in professional dialogue and collaboration.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and supporting teacher development and student learning.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of an additional language.
  • Experience with AI and emerging technologies in education.
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, and visualisation.
  • Experience in international school leadership and diverse educational settings.
