The Opportunity:
As a Math Teacher - Algebra and Pre-Calculus, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic journey of middle and high school students. You will deliver rigorous, engaging instruction in core mathematics subjects, helping students build a strong foundation for advanced learning and future success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and other high-level math courses to middle and high school students.
- Foster meaningful relationships with students to support personalized learning and academic success.
- Guide students in developing intellectual curiosity, personal responsibility, and academic achievement.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative school culture through teamwork and shared goals.
- Reinforce mathematical concepts through innovative and challenging instructional methods.
- Support students in preparing for honors and Advanced Placement courses starting in ninth grade.
- Stay informed on the latest educational trends and integrate best practices into daily instruction.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related field.
- At least two years of experience as a lead teacher in a classroom setting.
- Strong commitment to academic rigor and student achievement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Algebra and Pre-Calculus at the middle and high school level.
- Familiarity with international curricula and educational standards.
- Experience with differentiated instruction and student-centered learning.
- Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment design.
