The Opportunity:
As Vice Head of Middle School, you will play a key role in shaping the academic and social development of students. This is a leadership position that requires strategic thinking, strong communication, and a commitment to fostering a positive and achievement-oriented school culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate academic programs to support student integration and development
- Instruct teachers on best practices in child development and behavior management
- Develop procedures for handling extreme behavior occurrences
- Monitor and manage parent communications and expectations
- Support the social-emotional development of students
- Enforce school routines and code of conduct
- Assist teachers in managing student behavior and parent concerns
- Define school-wide behavior expectations and manage social-emotional curriculum
- Establish routines for common areas such as recess, lunch, and hallways
- Provide guidance and support to Teaching Fellows
- Monitor student arrival and dismissal procedures
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Master's degree in education or related field
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in a middle or high school environment
- Demonstrated administrative experience
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Preferred
- Experience in student behavior management and social-emotional learning
- Background in curriculum development or academic program coordination
- Experience with international school environments
