The Opportunity:

As Vice Head of Middle School, you will play a key role in shaping the academic and social development of students. This is a leadership position that requires strategic thinking, strong communication, and a commitment to fostering a positive and achievement-oriented school culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate academic programs to support student integration and development
  • Instruct teachers on best practices in child development and behavior management
  • Develop procedures for handling extreme behavior occurrences
  • Monitor and manage parent communications and expectations
  • Support the social-emotional development of students
  • Enforce school routines and code of conduct
  • Assist teachers in managing student behavior and parent concerns
  • Define school-wide behavior expectations and manage social-emotional curriculum
  • Establish routines for common areas such as recess, lunch, and hallways
  • Provide guidance and support to Teaching Fellows
  • Monitor student arrival and dismissal procedures

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Master's degree in education or related field
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in a middle or high school environment
  • Demonstrated administrative experience
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience in student behavior management and social-emotional learning
  • Background in curriculum development or academic program coordination
  • Experience with international school environments
