The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Mathematics Teacher to join our MYP and DP IB program. The role involves delivering high-quality lessons, supporting student development, and contributing to the school’s academic and pastoral goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with the MYP and DP IB frameworks.
- Foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
- Assess student progress using the Mathematics criterion and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and activities.
- Support students through pastoral care roles such as homeroom teacher or advisor.
- Manage classroom behavior to ensure a positive learning environment.
- Plan and execute events and workshops for students that support the school’s strategic goals.
- Engage in professional development and school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Education or Mathematics.
- Teaching certification with experience in the MYP and DP IB curriculum.
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in teaching secondary school Mathematics.
- Strong knowledge of the IB curriculum and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership role, such as Head of Department.
- Familiarity with Managebac and school management systems.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support roles.
