School Counsellor (Primary School - Part Time) – Support student well-being and development in a dynamic international school environment.

The Opportunity:

As a School Counsellor, you will play a key role in supporting the emotional, social, and academic well-being of primary school students. This part-time position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, international educational community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the emotional and social development of students in the school environment
  • Assist children in managing conflicts, social challenges, and relationship situations
  • Provide guidance for students experiencing concentration difficulties, learning blocks, and frustration tolerance
  • Promote impulse control, self-regulation, and appropriate behavior in academic and social contexts
  • Strengthen relationships between students, the school, and the wider community
  • Support teachers in managing challenging behavior and classroom dynamics
  • Identify early support needs and initiate appropriate interventions
  • Contribute to a stable, positive, and safe learning environment for all students

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related field
  • Qualification in counselling, coaching, or child and youth services
  • Experience working with primary school-aged children, ideally in a school setting
  • Strong English (C1) and German (C1) language skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and colleagues
  • High level of intercultural competence and sensitivity
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures

Preferred

  • Experience in school counselling or similar roles
  • Understanding of international curricula and educational frameworks
  • Experience in developing and implementing individualized support strategies
