The Opportunity:
A Mathematics Teacher Secondary is needed to join a successful and forward-thinking department. This role requires a passionate and well-qualified specialist in Mathematics with experience in the British and IB curriculum. The ideal candidate will be committed to student success and active learning in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons in line with the British and IB curriculum.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote active learning and student engagement.
- Provide strong pastoral care and support to students both inside and outside the classroom.
- Participate fully in all aspects of school life, including extra-curricular activities and professional development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continued improvement.
- Stay up to date with developments in Mathematics education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Mathematics department and school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher status and a degree in a relevant subject.
- Strong understanding of the British and IB curriculum up to Key Stage 5.
- Proven experience in teaching Mathematics at the Secondary level.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Commitment to active learning and student-centred teaching.
- Ability to provide high levels of pastoral care.
Preferred
- Experience with international curricula.
- Experience in a British International School setting.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
- Experience in developing and leading professional development initiatives.
