The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Mathematics Teacher with the potential to lead as an IB MYP Coordinator. This role is ideal for an innovative educator who wants to shape curriculum and inspire students within the IB MYP and DP/CP programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with IB frameworks and inquiry-based learning principles.
- Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining high standards of behaviour and a positive classroom culture.
- Collaborate with a diverse department to share best practices and develop innovative teaching strategies.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.
- Lead and coordinate the IB MYP Mathematics curriculum, if appointed as Subject Coordinator.
- Promote a student-centred approach to learning and encourage global perspectives in Mathematics education.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school's academic programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
- An official teaching qualification for Mathematics.
- Minimum of 2 years of full-time Mathematics teaching experience in secondary school.
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
Preferred
- Five or more years of teaching experience, ideally in international or intercultural settings.
- Experience teaching Mathematics within the IB MYP and/or IB DP/CP frameworks.
- Familiarity with international school environments and diverse student populations.
- A student-centred, inquiry-based teaching approach.
- A proactive and reflective attitude toward professional development.
