Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to improve student achievement and confidence in Maths.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Maths department.
  • Support students in overcoming barriers to learning and foster a positive attitude towards Maths.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that promote student engagement and development.
  • Stay up to date with curriculum changes and professional development opportunities within the school and Trust.
  • Work closely with pastoral teams to support the academic and personal growth of students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Maths Teacher with relevant experience.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching Maths.
  • Experience in delivering Maths lessons to a range of abilities.
  • Commitment to raising student achievement and fostering a love of learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in working with students who have additional needs or learning challenges.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
  • Familiarity with the use of technology in the classroom.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
