Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Support student progress through effective assessment, feedback, and targeted intervention.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and engaging curriculum content.
- Promote a culture of academic excellence and social responsibility within the department.
- Participate in pastoral care and extra-curricular activities that support student wellbeing.
- Contribute to the professional development of the department through shared planning and teaching.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and senior leaders.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Mathematics at GCSE and A-Level.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire student interest in the subject.
- Commitment to inclusive education and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
- Familiarity with the use of digital tools in the classroom.
- Experience with teaching Further Mathematics.
- Involvement in extra-curricular activities such as maths clubs or competitions.
