Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Support student progress through effective assessment, feedback, and targeted intervention.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and engaging curriculum content.
  • Promote a culture of academic excellence and social responsibility within the department.
  • Participate in pastoral care and extra-curricular activities that support student wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the professional development of the department through shared planning and teaching.
  • Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and senior leaders.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at GCSE and A-Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire student interest in the subject.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
  • Familiarity with the use of digital tools in the classroom.
  • Experience with teaching Further Mathematics.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities such as maths clubs or competitions.
