Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging and interactive maths lessons that challenge and motivate students of all abilities
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote independent learning and critical thinking
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall quality of teaching and learning
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and achievement
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain and improve teaching standards
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and pastoral support
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attainment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Ability to create engaging and challenging learning experiences
  • Experience in working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering maths education at Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methods and technologies
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support
