Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons that challenge and support all students
- Monitor and evaluate student progress using detailed data analysis to raise attainment
- Develop and implement schemes of work that are aligned with the school’s strategic objectives
- Support the planning and delivery of a personalised learning strategy for students
- Participate in the development of departmental resources, policies, and teaching strategies
- Contribute to the improvement and self-review processes of the Maths Department
- Uphold and model the values and expectations of the school and United Learning
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and external stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the management information system
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant Maths subject knowledge
- Experience in teaching at the secondary level (11-16)
- Ability to differentiate teaching and learning strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Strong data analysis skills to support student progress
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
- Experience in curriculum planning and delivery
Preferred
- Experience with pastoral responsibilities or TLR (Teaching and Learning Responsibility)
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental improvement initiatives
- Experience in working within a Multi Academy Trust
- Experience with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) support
- Experience with student interventions and targeted support strategies
