Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons that challenge and support all students
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress using detailed data analysis to raise attainment
  • Develop and implement schemes of work that are aligned with the school’s strategic objectives
  • Support the planning and delivery of a personalised learning strategy for students
  • Participate in the development of departmental resources, policies, and teaching strategies
  • Contribute to the improvement and self-review processes of the Maths Department
  • Uphold and model the values and expectations of the school and United Learning
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the management information system

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Maths subject knowledge
  • Experience in teaching at the secondary level (11-16)
  • Ability to differentiate teaching and learning strategies to meet diverse student needs
  • Strong data analysis skills to support student progress
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
  • Experience in curriculum planning and delivery

Preferred

  • Experience with pastoral responsibilities or TLR (Teaching and Learning Responsibility)
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental improvement initiatives
  • Experience in working within a Multi Academy Trust
  • Experience with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) support
  • Experience with student interventions and targeted support strategies
