The Opportunity:

As a Midday Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing children during lunchtime, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour. This role is ideal for someone who is caring, reliable, and enjoys working as part of a team to support children’s development and create a calm and enjoyable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils during lunchtime periods in the dining hall and playground.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage good manners among students.
  • Support and supervise play activities to maintain a calm and enjoyable environment.
  • Monitor and manage student interactions to prevent conflicts and ensure a positive experience.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly dining hall and playground area.
  • Work closely with other staff members to ensure consistency in supervision and support.
  • Provide regular updates to senior staff on student behaviour and any concerns.
  • Follow all school policies and procedures related to child safety and wellbeing.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children in a school setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from senior staff.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Flexibility to work Monday to Friday between 11:15am and 1:30pm.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or pastoral role.
  • Experience with behaviour management strategies.
  • Knowledge of child development and wellbeing practices.
  • Familiarity with school policies and procedures.
