As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, inclusive education that meets the diverse needs of students with complex needs and challenging behaviours. Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering and planning lessons tailored to the diverse learning needs of students in KS2 and Science
  • Supporting the development of personalised learning routes for all pupils
  • Assisting and encouraging individual pupils to take ownership of their learning and research topics independently
  • Preparing and managing teaching materials and equipment to ensure a safe and effective learning environment
  • Promoting social skills and independent work strategies through group and paired activities
  • Collaborating with other staff to ensure consistent and effective support for students
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress to inform future planning and support
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports on student development and achievement

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working in a SEND environment or similar provision
  • Commitment to supporting students with complex needs and challenging behaviours

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering Science and KS2 curriculum
  • Experience in developing and implementing personalised learning plans
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in working with students on the autism spectrum
