As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, inclusive education that meets the diverse needs of students with complex needs and challenging behaviours. Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering and planning lessons tailored to the diverse learning needs of students in KS2 and Science
- Supporting the development of personalised learning routes for all pupils
- Assisting and encouraging individual pupils to take ownership of their learning and research topics independently
- Preparing and managing teaching materials and equipment to ensure a safe and effective learning environment
- Promoting social skills and independent work strategies through group and paired activities
- Collaborating with other staff to ensure consistent and effective support for students
- Monitoring and assessing student progress to inform future planning and support
- Maintaining accurate records and reports on student development and achievement
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
- Minimum of two years’ experience working in a SEND environment or similar provision
- Commitment to supporting students with complex needs and challenging behaviours
Preferred
- Experience in delivering Science and KS2 curriculum
- Experience in developing and implementing personalised learning plans
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in working with students on the autism spectrum
