The Opportunity:

As a Middle School Mathematics Teacher, you will play a key role in developing students’ mathematical thinking and problem-solving abilities. You will contribute to a dynamic, inquiry-based learning environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of mathematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging, differentiated mathematics lessons aligned with international curricula
  • Promote conceptual understanding, logical reasoning, and mathematical communication
  • Support students in setting personal learning goals and reflecting on their progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies
  • Use rich tasks, project-based learning, and differentiated instruction to meet diverse learner needs
  • Foster a classroom culture that encourages curiosity, perseverance, and a growth mindset
  • Monitor and assess student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessment strategies
  • Contribute to the development of a supportive, inclusive, and forward-thinking school community

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of successful middle school mathematics teaching experience
  • Strong knowledge of the Common Core curriculum and/or IB frameworks
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
  • Proven ability to design and implement inquiry-based, student-centered learning experiences

Preferred

  • Experience teaching in an international or multicultural setting
  • Familiarity with differentiated instruction and project-based learning
  • Experience with educational technology tools and platforms
  • Strong record of student achievement and academic growth
  • Experience with assessment and reporting systems used in international schools
