The Opportunity:
As a Middle School Mathematics Teacher, you will play a key role in developing students’ mathematical thinking and problem-solving abilities. You will contribute to a dynamic, inquiry-based learning environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of mathematics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging, differentiated mathematics lessons aligned with international curricula
- Promote conceptual understanding, logical reasoning, and mathematical communication
- Support students in setting personal learning goals and reflecting on their progress
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies
- Use rich tasks, project-based learning, and differentiated instruction to meet diverse learner needs
- Foster a classroom culture that encourages curiosity, perseverance, and a growth mindset
- Monitor and assess student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessment strategies
- Contribute to the development of a supportive, inclusive, and forward-thinking school community
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- At least 5 years of successful middle school mathematics teaching experience
- Strong knowledge of the Common Core curriculum and/or IB frameworks
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Proven ability to design and implement inquiry-based, student-centered learning experiences
Preferred
- Experience teaching in an international or multicultural setting
- Familiarity with differentiated instruction and project-based learning
- Experience with educational technology tools and platforms
- Strong record of student achievement and academic growth
- Experience with assessment and reporting systems used in international schools
